It’s a Small World Baby Shower

Disney's It's a Small World Themed Baby ShowerSubmitted by: BreAnna

My sister threw me an It’s A Small World themed baby shower in August and I absolutely loved it! It was the perfect theme because that’s what we decided our daughter’s nursery would be themed around (both the ride and the book). I just loved how it was definitely for a girl, but several pretty colors and patterns were used, not just pink. It all started with the It’s A Small World postcard invites and the theme was carried out all the way to the gifts from my sister. This shower was completely DIY and I can’t thank her enough for the time and effort she put into it. I had a wonderful time and I am so happy my sister shares my love for everything Disney!

LOVE this idea for international adoptions as well! If they are bringing home a tiny baby, this could be a fun ‘Welcome Home’ party theme!

Beautiful! Do you have any idea where she got the invitations? I am throwing an “It’s a small world” baby shower for my sister and the invitations are perfect!

I got the postcards from Disneystore.com. But they were only a limited release.

I made them out of cardboard and cardstock. They were all hand cut.

Where did you get the idea for the games from? Did you design the games on your computer and print it out? Would you mind sharing the file?

I found the game for free on the internet and then added the small world characters. I would love to share the file, but I no longer have it.

Hi, I’m trying to make my own “it’s a small world” mobile for the baby we are expecting and I’d love to find the flying carpet images you used. Can you tell us where you found them? They’re adorable!

Super cute! Did you use a template for the flying carpet dolls? If so, can you share the site?

I absolutely love this! How creative and adorable! I especially love the cut-out kids on magic carpets. (I love that in the ride too.) Amazing job! Your sister could make money selling this stuff on etsy!
