Thrift Shopping for Back to School (Part Three: Secondhand Style)

Now that Eva is in school, I can’t wait for her to wear some of the pieces we picked up while secondhand shopping. It’s still a little too warm for most days here in the desert, but we have put on the occasional fashion show to try them out. She’s such a shoe girl that all I have to do is offer to let her try on one of her new thrifted pairs and she’s willing to let me dress her up however. I think she’s getting those model faces down quite nicely, don’t you?

And, as a bonus, we had a rainy day this weekend and we were able to try out that cape I got from the thrift store. Verdict: love! Capes! Capes all the time! Capes for everyone!

If that was a show, I’d be all over it like nobody’s business.

I love her bright red shoes! My daughter would love them, as she is obsessed with The Wizard of Oz right now! 🙂

She’s very into them and she hasn’t even seen Wizard of Oz. (Those flying monkeys freak Mom out a little too much…)

Wow! That one with the Mickey lunch box is the best “model” pose yet!:)

Though capes may be out fashion according to the Incredibles, I certainly love Eva’s!

Great post. There is absolutely no reason to have to buy expensive clothes when perfectly good, and often new, clothing can be purchased at 2nd hand stores for significant savings. And look at how cute.
