Napa, California, 2013: Eva and Her Pony, Velvet

One of Eva’s favorite places is my aunt’s ranch in Petaluma, California. My aunt and uncle keep a ton of different kinds of farm animals, so it’s like having a zoo where you can feed all the exhibits. Add to that the fact that they gave Eva an honorary pony named Velvet and she’s in heaven. So, naturally we had to visit and let the Evester take her first solo ride. (And by solo, I mean flanked by an entourage of family members lest she fall or tilt or hiccup.)

She was in heaven until she randomly broke out in hives and got wheezy an hour into it and we had to hightail out of there. Oh the joys of being Eva…

Aww! So cute! Truth be told, I really want to ride a pony….not a horse…a pony. Also, if I was a pony, I’d want my name to be Velvet too. It just sounds so soft and pretty. lol
