Happy 4th of July!!
This was a new craft for us and possibly the easiest one we’ve ever done together as a family. I was recently introduced to temporary tattoo paper when I got some from my Silhouette dinner at Alt Summit and it turns out that it’s the greatest thing ever. Who knew?
I wanted to use it to put some patriotic tattoos together for us, so I went online and found some themed Disney images, imported them to Photoshop, used the magic eraser to erase the background, and then added them all to a big PDF. Then I just printed the PDF onto the temporary tattoo paper using our regular HP printer and voila! Tattoos for everyone!
I love that I didn’t have to rely on clip art to create these. One of the ones Calvin has is actually a little fabric patch someone was selling online and the one that Eva has on her arm with all the characters is a scanned image of a Disney pin from an eBay listing.
I love them and we definitely need more of these in our life. I’ve actually been toying around with the idea of getting one (neither Kyle nor I have any yet) and I’ve been thinking of doing four Mickey balloons (one for each of us) with a little bit of script tucked underneath. I threw something together this morning and even though it isn’t perfect, it gave me an idea of how it would look. Much easier than getting the tattoo only to regret it later!!
Have a happy fourth of July, wherever you are! It’s Calvin’s last “first” national holiday…the little Tonka truck turns one this month!!!

Super cute idea and I’m sure the kids loved it! I also really like your idea for your tattoo. I don’t have any and I can’t fathom the pain, but I appreciate the artistry and I think the your mock up looks really cool! 🙂 Happy 4th!
