Busy Mom Trick: Frozen Hashbrowns and Bacon

Here’s a little Sunday morning secret for you…

The next time you’re at the store, grab a package of bacon and some of those frozen hashbrown patties.

Heat the oven up to 375 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Put the frozen hashbrowns on the parchment paper and then put a cooling rack over it and lay the bacon on. It will take about a half hour to cook the bacon usually, but keep an eye on it because cooking it this way takes the grease away so it burns a bit faster!

Once the bacon is cooked, pile it on a plate layered with paper towels to drain whatever grease is left. Take the hasbrown patties and flip them over, laying them up on the cooling rack where the bacon used to be and pop them back in the oven for ten minutes. The grease will drain away and they’ll crisp up nicely.

Easy and you’re so much less likely to burn yourself then if you try to fry those frozen things on the stovetop!
