Baby Animal Days at This is the Place Park

It’s time to see the baby animals again at This is the Place park!

We bought a membership right around this same time last year so I was a little worried that it was going to run out before all of the babies came out to play. Luckily, it doesn’t expire for a few more days so we had a chance to visit the park today and see the chicks, kids, puppies, and kits.

A little note for the locals: this was the first year that we’ve had a family membership to This is the Place park and I don’t think we’ll be renewing. It’s not too expensive ($100 for our family of four) but the park is only open until 5 (6 at the latest) so the only time we can all go is on the weekends and really that means we have to go on Saturday because everything in the park is closed on Sunday so it’s a waste of time to go. I also don’t like¬† that it’s very muddy in the snow, most of the houses are closed in the winter, the crowds and heat are awful in the summer, and you can really only spend about two hours at the park before you run out of things to do.

I think this time of year is a wonderful time to visit the park, but I’d give it a pass otherwise so if you’re considering an annual membership that’s my two cents.

The pic of Calvin by himself in front of the house gave me Little House on the Prairie vibe. Baby animals are so cute. Glad that Eva didn’t have any reactions to being around them and that you all managed to have a good time.
