Rainy Day Cookie Activity

When it’s raining outside and you have a million things to do and the kids are hanging on you because they’re bored with life, it turns out you can throw a bag of Betty Crocker (nut allergy safe!) sugar cookie mix into a bowl, mix it up, pop spoonfuls into a mini muffin pan and create little chewy cookie cupcake bites.

Then you can put out some wax paper and some simple icing made with milk and powdered sugar and maybe a plate of sprinkles (one for each kid) and step back and leave them to their own devices.

And they’ll probably eat enough cookies to ruin their dinner, but it won’t matter because it will give you enough time to get the laundry out of the dryer, separated, folded, and into the right places.

And absolutely everything in the house will be sticky and the kids will spend the next hour climbing the walls because of the sugar high, but the laundry will be put away. You win.
