Bye, summer. It was real. I’m done with you now.
Yes, it’s still August. Yes, the leaves are still green and the community pools are still busy. Don’t care. I’m so ready for fall this year. I loved this summer but it also kicked my butt and I won’t mind seeing it in the rear view mirror while I cruise around with my pumpkin-spiced-something in an oversized sweater. Fall, I love you.
Also, I feel like I’m always excited for Halloween and then things come up, usually in the form of back to school viruses, and pretty soon the holiday is over and my Halloween plans went unrealized. So I’m prepping early this year and getting my shopping done:
Hocus Pocus Amuck Witch Hat Tank Top /// Once the kids are school aged, you really have to have at least one themed silly Halloween shirt so that you can get into the spirit for outings and costume parades without going all the way into pirate-wench-costume world. I love that Hocus Pocus is still beloved and fully plan on making this shirt part of my October wardrobe.
NEST Fragrances Classic Candle – Pumpkin Chai /// There are many pumpkin candles but actually only one that doesn’t lead to that annoying cinnamon frosted headache. This is it.
Japanese House Bat in Resin /// You don’t get any creepy-cooler than real animals in resin. This one makes for great Halloween decor and a good science conversation starter.
Halloween Stargazer LED Pumpkin /// I’m calling it. These LED pumpkins from Target are going to be the decor item that everyone has this year. They’re too cool but not too cheesy.
Paisley Tile Print Crepe Pleated Maxi Dress /// One of those easy pajama-like dresses that lets you look dressed up even though you forgot about the 7:30 PTA meeting and slept until 7:27.
Edgar Allan Poe-ka Dots Tote /// It’s Poe-ka dots. POE-ka dots.
Propet Delaney boots /// How people walk around in five inch heels after having kids is beyond me. Boots like these are cute but you can wear them all winter and still have happy healthy feet so that’s a bigger win.
URBAN DECAY Naked Palette Heat /// The best palette out there now in warmer neutrals.
