Arches National Park is one of those must-do things for people in Utah BUT many people underestimate how large the park is, how hot it gets in the summer, and how excited your kids will be to look at rocks if they get too hot and you forgot to pack a picnic lunch.
Don’t let me sell it short – Arches is AMAZING and you can’t miss it. Just be aware that little feet will probably need to stay pretty close to the drivable sights since many of the more famous sights, Delicate Arch included, are far enough that you’d need to carry little kids or wait until their legs get longer and stronger.
Do your research, pack lunch, pack tons and tons of water, and don’t forget all the cameras in the world because this place is beautiful.
