Kids Summer Reading List

We’re getting sooooo close to summer and we are READY FOR IT. I’m always over school by this point because I just want my kids home with me doing fun stuff so the month of May takes forever. We’re in the final stretch now and then it will be all ice cream and swimming pools and books books books.

Calvin is at a second grade reading level and Eva is somewhere around junior high but they’re only five and eight respectively so it’s challenging sometimes finding books at their level that aren’t beyond their range of interests. Felix doesn’t have a summer book list – our goal is to read one Felix-focused book a day and I’m really hoping it doesn’t end up being Chicka Chicka Book Book for the four millionth time. He’s in that toddler phase where it’s all about repetition but I am so done with those tree-climbing letters.

Here’s the summer book list we have planned – tons of classics and award winner and a little wiggle room for new titles coming out. (PS – Eva’s book review account is growing!)
