The Morgans on Ever Clever Mom

Who are the Morgans?

I’ve been blogging about my kids on my lifestyle blog since the day they were born. I love sharing my experiences as a mom, but I also hope to make life a little easier for someone else through our stories…especially when it comes to the little revelations that are constantly happening. Our biggest stumbling blocks have been Eva’s food allergies and asthma, but even the everyday has a tendency to trip us up. Still, we’re searching for the extraordinary joys in ordinary life and Ever Clever Mom is the home of all those lovely discoveries.

But really…who are we?

We’re Salt-Lake-City-based, Disney-loving, Montessori-homeschool-wannabes who love to thrift shop, have tons of tea parties, avoid nuts like plague, and can’t stop rearranging their furniture in our tiny house. Our dinners are delicious, our parties are over the top, our budget is tighter than the waistband on my mom jeans, and we have more fun than anyone we know. Thank you for reading our blog!

I found your sight when I was searching for whole 30 chicken leg recipes. Recipes of yours lead me to your whole 30 story back in 2015. I just wondered if your perspective on whole30 is the same now 2 years later.

That’s a good question! So I still think Whole 30 is great and every time I do 30 days on that plan (or 60 if I’m feeling like a superhero), I lose weight and feel better and pat myself on the back, etc., but somehow I always end up sliding back into old eating patterns and it only takes a few weeks for all of the weight to come back. So, if I just stuck to it, I’m sure I’d feel amazing but I’ve tried 7-8 times and fallen off the wagon every time. The funny thing is, we still eat that chicken about once a week and I still love salads and lots of the meals I discovered on Whole 30, but I can’t escape the bread or cheese I want on the side. Work in progress!
